Product notes

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide whose sequence derives from a conserved fragment of human gastric juice protein. In our catalogue it is supplied as a standard research material, used mainly for basic work on cell migration, angiogenesis-related signalling and gastrointestinal models. It is supplied as lyophilized powder in light-proof glass vials, analyzed for HPLC purity (≥ 99%) and confirmed by LC-MS mass before release, with a third-party report for each batch.

Common research applications

  • In vitro cell migration and proliferation models
  • Mechanistic study of angiogenesis-related signalling
  • Control material for tissue-repair experiments

These are common research directions only and do not constitute medical advice or claims of efficacy.

Research background

BPC-157 has the sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, contains no intramolecular disulfide bond and is relatively stable. Published work commonly examines its effect on fibroblast migration, modulation of the nitric oxide system and tissue repair in various animal models. In experimental design, researchers usually focus on solubility, stability and route differences. Because peptides in solution are sensitive to temperature and pH, prepare them under controlled conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw.

Test methods

  • HPLC: C18 reversed-phase column, 220 nm detection, purity integration area ≥ 99%
  • LC-MS: ESI positive mode, measured mass within < 0.1% of theoretical
  • Endotoxin: sampled per batch, results published with the COA

Storage & reconstitution

Unopened: Store at -20°C, protected from light and moisture, and avoid sharp temperature swings. It is stable short-term at ambient temperature in transit; move it to cold storage promptly on receipt. Reconstitution: Use sterile water for injection or a buffer suited to your assay. Add the solvent slowly down the vial wall and swirl gently to dissolve; avoid vigorous vortexing, which creates bubbles and can denature the peptide. Aliquoting: After reconstitution, aliquot single-use volumes before freezing and avoid repeated freeze-thaw. Solutions containing preservatives are not suitable for cell culture; choose the solvent according to your system.
ℹ️
The above is general guidance; confirm concentration, buffer system and storage duration against your own protocol.
How does the vial batch number match the COA?

The vial label carries a unique batch number (e.g. VP-2411-A). Enter it on the COA lookup page to retrieve the HPLC chromatogram and LC-MS result for that batch; the number must match exactly.

What is the difference between the two sizes?

Only the fill volume differs; purity standards and testing are identical. For a first experiment we suggest the smaller size for method validation, then ordering the larger size as needed.

Can you provide a signed original report?

Yes. Note "signed report required" in the order comments and we will include a paper copy; the electronic version can also be downloaded from the COA page.
